On Tuesday, May 15th, His Majesty the King visited our production site in Westrozebeke (Belgium), following the rollout of dual learning.
As a vegetable processing company we are committed to a good link between school and business by means of various internship courses, workshops and dual learning. The King became acquainted with the various parts of the workplace, and was given a guided tour in the production and packaging department. During the visit, he met trainees from secondary education, who participated in the Food@Work Techno Awards, a competition organized by Fevia (Federation Food Industry).
Of the 375 employees at Greenyard Frozen Belgium, there are 140 technically skilled workers. Anticipating the aging of the population by attracting technically skilled employees on time is an essential critical factor. In addition to investments in machines, it remains important to also invest in employees, especially in our current tight labor market.
